18th ‘Gault & Millau Awards’ & ‘Launch Belux Guide 2021’

Due to covid-19, ‘Gault & Millau Belgium’ had to reconsider their planned events in 2020. The ‘Chocolatier Awards 2021’ were organized on October 19th 2020, according the covid-19 restrictions as a live event with a limited audience in the room. But organizing the ‘18th Gault & Millau Awards’, the yearly highlight for Belgium’s gastronomy which is normally a major event with food & drinks, was not possible anymore on November 23rd. We were asked to support the first online ‘Gault & Millau Awards’ which was the only option due to all the covid-19 restrictions. This first livestreamed edition was very successful and was followed by over 2000 very excited restaurateurs, culinary journalists and partners. As Gault&Millau Belgium’s CEO Marc Declerck said; “You can only win the award for ‘Chef of the Year’ once, but you remain it for the rest of your life.” Many more watched the Award show at a later stage and parts of the recordings were also used in the reality TV show ‘Ja Chef’.
