A hybrid meeting in the European Joint Research Centre

The IRMM is one of the seven institutes of the Joint Research Centre, a Directorate-General of the European Commission. They provide confidence in the comparability of measurements throughout the scientific field, ranging from analysis of food contaminants to nuclear safety. AVP was asked to provide technical assistance during the Board Of Governors meeting where representatives from EU Member States came together to discuss the strategic role of the JRC and it’s scientific, technical and financial management. As not every member state could be present, the meeting was hybridised with a video conferencing solution in one of the multifunctional rooms on-site. Remote speakers were shown on four stage monitors in the hollow rectangle and participants that were present in the room shared a conference microphone for the discussions or could present from the lectern.
